Extra Curricular Activities

Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs) are sport and non-sporting pursuits available to AISHK students over and above the regular school curriculum. These activities are organised and led by teachers and support staff with assistance from parents and external coordinators and take place outside the normal school timetable. Taking part in ECA's is highly recommended to all students as it extends the educational experience delivered by the school; gives students another avenue in which to connect with their fellow students and helps develop a range of life skills including self-esteem, persistence and teamwork.

Categories & Key Goals

ECA's are divided into the following categories:

  • Sport
  • The Arts
  • Academic Activities
  • Community Activities

ECA's aim to:

  • Extend and build on the school curriculum
  • Provide enjoyment to participants
  • Instil a sense of achievement
  • Encourage participation and develop social skills and team work
  • Include a number of activities that are free or of minimal cost
  • Provide participants with the opportunity for all-round development
