Students in our Year 12 Music class, now busy preparing for their final Music practical examinations, presented an excerpt from their practical component as a prelude to these examinations. On the program were performances on piano, voice, guitar and bass guitar. There was also a performance involving a non-musical object.
The Year 11 Drama class performed an excerpt from the much loved Shakespeare play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The excerpt, known as the ‘play within the play’, tells of the antics of an amateur theatre troupe performing for the Duke of Athens on the eve of his wedding. That the performance quality of the troupe is highly questionable, causing much hilarity along the way, is a perennial favourite among audiences. Thanks to all of our hard working senior students on a job well done.
