Digital Anzac Day Ceremony 2020/04/25 Updated

Each year AISHK commemorates Anzac Day with a ceremony held on our school field, welcoming students, parents, staff, the AISFL Board and members of our school’s founding associations.

This year, in order to observe the Hong Kong Government’s directives regarding group gatherings, the school has produced a pre-recorded video ceremony featuring AISHK leadership and student leaders. This video will be emailed to the community via the weekly e-newsletter Dhanara, tomorrow (Friday 24 April) and sent via the AISHK App on Anzac Day (Saturday 25 April). Although it will be provided in a modified format this year, we hope you will join us in our 2020 Anzac Day commemoration.

A Message from the Autralian Consulate-General Hong Kong | Anzac Day Arrangements

It is with great regret that we have cancelled this year’s public Anzac Day Commemoration in Hong Kong. This decision has been taken in line with Hong Kong Government measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and in step with measures taken in Australia and New Zealand regarding Anzac Day.

Consuls-General will pay private respects at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Sai Wan with strict social distancing measures in place in consultation with the Department of Health. Members of the general public are welcome to pay private respects at Sai Wan War Cemetery at their leisure but if you choose to do so, please observe the Hong Kong Government’s requirements on group gatherings.
