Australian Children’s Laureate, Morris Gleitzman to visit AISHK!
We are thrilled to announce author Morris Gleitzman, Australian Children’s Laureate for 2018-2019, will be visiting AISHK on Monday 25 March and Tuesday 26 March 2019. Morris will hold sessions with all students in Years 3-12 over the two days. In his session with students, Morris aims to share the secrets of his writing and to leave students informed and inspired, as well as equipped with tools for their own adventures in literacy and creativity.
In addition to this, the School will host a Parent Evening session in the Library with Morris on Monday 25 March from 6:30pm-8:00pm. As part of his role as Australian Children’s Laureate, Morris will share with us his experiences in writing and promote the importance of reading, creativity and story in the lives of young people.
Morris Gleitzman is a bestselling Australian children’s author. His books explore serious and sometimes confronting subjects in humorous and unexpected ways. His titles include Two Weeks With The Queen, Grace, Doubting Thomas, Give Peas A Chance, Extra Time, Loyal Creatures, and the series Once, Then, Now, After, Soon and Maybe. Morris lives in Sydney and Brisbane, and his books are published in more than twenty countries.
