What is the purpose of our WhatsApp Groups?

For many, WhatsApp is a familiar, convenient communication tool. The Class/Year Level Representative WhatsApp groups are established to share information with and relevant to the class parent group.

WhatsApp Group Policy | 8 Important Points

We kindly ask that you respect, follow and instill the below rules. Failure to comply may result in a member’s removal from the group.

Acceptable Use

The Class/Year Level Representative WhatsApp groups are to be:

  1. used by and accessible to AISHK parents of the according class/year level only.
  2. used for sharing information and asking questions which are useful, relevant and appropriate for its members; parents of the according homeroom or year level.
  3. viewed and utilised as a positive, collaborative group with the common goal of helping each other out.
  4. viewed and utilised to reflect the same standards of honesty, respect and consideration that is acceptable in face-to-face communication.

Unacceptable Use

The Class/Year Level Representative WhatsApp groups are never to be:

  1. used as a platform to communicate, query or provoke negative views/grievances regarding any individual, including an AISHK teacher, child or parent.
  2. utilised as a platform for comments or conversations which are personal, private, explicit, offensive, violent, in violation of copyright or intellectual property rights, or discriminatory regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or political beliefs.
  3. used to share links, files or any attachments that could damage the operation of other’s devices.
  4. used for the promotion of businesses, services or items.

Queries or concerns regarding:

  • your role as Class/Year Level Representative should be directed to nafisaq@hotmail.com
  • the Parent Association must be directed to aishkpa@aishk.edu.hk
  • AISHK, its operations, curriculum or staff must be directed to the relevant contact per the School Directory accessible at the school website.
