Year 7 to 10 Studies

Overview

All students in Years 7 to 10 will be enrolled in courses that cover the eight Key Learning Areas. The Program of Studies for students in Years 7 to 10 moves from a more general base to more specialised classes and teaching within these Key Learning Areas in Years 9 and 10. The Program of Studies is arranged across the years of schooling to fulfil the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) mandatory study requirements. Students are then eligible for automatic entry to Year 11 and 12 courses of study for the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC). The following outlines are based on an average range of choices covering the Key Learning Areas in a New South Wales Secondary school.
